TARPON SPRINGS, FLORIDA: A Florida woman was arrested after she was seen abusing her pet dog by kicking it and hanging it by its leash as she walked through a parking lot.

Michelle Sieber, 26, who hails from Tarpon Springs in Florida was arrested after she was caught on video abusing her pet. She was charged with animal cruelty after a passerby Vincent Minutello recorded the shocking incident and reported it.

She kicked and yanked her dog up so hard that the animal was unable to stand on its hind legs. As per the video, the incident took place in Tarpon Springs on September 20 at 10.45 am. As reported by Fox 35, Minutello was dropping off his girlfriend nearby when he saw Sieber attacking her dog.

The video has been shot from Minutello's car and shows the dog to be good-natured and well behaved. After a couple of steps, Sieber suddenly kicks the dog out of the blue and then yanks the leash. She proceeds to shorten it as she wraps it around her wrist when the dog sits down.

Sieber then continues to walk towards a camper van when the dog starts to resist and doesn't move forward. She is able to get the dog moving again and things seem to be okay. The dog then suddenly tries to jump on to the camper's bumper when Sieber viciously yanks the leash.

She pulls it so hard that the dog is lifted off the ground and looks as though it is choking. While still recording, Minutello approaches Sieber and asks her to take it easy on the dog. He also suggests putting the dog up for adoption which she said she had already done.

He then shared the post on social media which went viral. Police were able to identify Sieber and she was booked into Pinellas County Jail.  Sieber is being held on a $5,000 bond and is awaiting trial.
