Florida woman body shames Trump supporter, threatens to cough on her: 'F*** off fat ass'
A young woman from Florida fat-shamed a Trump-suppporting woman while the two were on a beach and posted the encounter online. Lyndsey Sciarrino also threatened to cough on the unidentified woman and her male friend for supporting the US president. It was not clear when the incident happened but on Friday, June 12, Sciarrino tweeted a video of her interaction with a couple of Trump supporters. As seen in the video, the unnamed woman and her friend were riding their buggies on a Florida beach with flags supporting the president flying from the back of the vehicle. “Can I f***ing help you?” Sciarrino first said in the clip, to which the woman on the scooter retorted, “All you liberals are the same."
The response from the woman reportedly let Sciarrino lose her temper as she made insensitive remarks about the other's appearance. "F*** off fat ass. Go work out instead of supporting Trump. Disgusting,” the young woman said in the video. Sciarrino also pointed out that the ‘Trump 2020: Keep America Great’ flag hanging from the couple’s scooters were "a sign for hate" as she continued: “Go f*** yourselves. F*** off. Do you want me to cough on you? Because I will."
Sciarrino’s rant prompted the female Trump supporter to ask her how she used the stimulus check given to 159 million Americans to stimulate the flailing US economy due to coronavirus. "What did I do with my stimulus check? I paid my f***ing bills. F*** Trump. He’s a b*tch. Just like you,” Sciarrino replied.
"You’re awful," the woman said as she drove away along with her friend. Sharing the incident on Twitter, Sciarrino wrote: “These trump supporters rolled by and you know I had to tell them to fuck off.”
Since then, the footage has garnered more than two million views and over 37,000 retweets. But the response to the clip was mixed as some social media users supported her political stand while many called her out for body-shaming another woman. “I mean fuck Trump but kind of weird to say they are spreading hate while you are attacking her size....” wrote one user. “They didn’t even start anything you’re the one that just had to open your mouth and start,” said another one slamming Sciarrino for her rude behavior. “I think you could’ve handled the situation a little better. Your opinion is your opinion not everyone else’s,” a third person shared their thoughts.
Sciarrino’s body-shaming jibe came weeks after Nancy Pelosi called Trump “morbidly obese”. Referring to Trump’s claims that he has been taking hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as a precaution against Covid-19, the 80-year-old old Congresswoman from California said: “As far as the president is concerned, he’s our president, and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group. Morbidly obese, they say.”
The Republican leader later responded to Pelosi’s comment and said, “Pelosi is a sick woman she's got a lot of problems, a lot of mental problems.” Trump said this minutes after saying: "I don't respond to her. I think she's a waste of time."
