DELRAY, FLORIDA: A Florida teen was charged this week for the January crash that killed six people after he lost control while traveling 151 mph. Noah Galle, 18, was charged on Monday, April 18, 2022, with six counts of vehicular murder in connection with the fatal incident on January 27, 2022, that killed six people, according to Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Galle struck the back of a Nissan Rogue with six people on South State Road 7 just before 11 pm while driving his 2019 white BMW at 151 mph. Galle was recording TikTok video while driving
According to the complaint, an investigator at the crash site noticed Galle's Instagram handle open and displayed on the driver's and passenger sides of his automobile. Moreover, the sheriff's office received a tip regarding Galle's Instagram and TikTok posts a day after the crash, "in which he recorded himself driving at extremely high rates of speed," according to the complaint. The informant handed officials a clip of a video showing the guy speeding on Interstate 95, claiming Galle had posted it two weeks before the collision. Investigators discovered what appeared to be the same footage on Galle's Instagram account, which showed him traveling at 182 mph on I-95 in a white BMW. Because of the dashboard and instrument panel arrangement, officials stated they knew the car was the same. "First to guess the MPH gets 25 cashapp," he wrote to viewers of the video, referring to the online payment app. Several Instagram Messenger posts in regard to the "guess the mph" video post was discovered by investigators.
Galle's family announce he is 'suicidal'
According to WPBF-TV, the defense argued that Galle is suicidal and should be released to his family at a court appearance earlier this month. "Since the night of the accident, Your Honor, he's had a very difficult time dealing with the tragedy and he's been seeing a psychiatrist," defense attorney Liz Parker reportedly stated. But the family of the victims did not buy it and demanded justice.
The victims' family demand justice
The family members of the deceased spoke at the court trial, expressing their grief. "This has been a very, very hard situation for my whole family, my sister and I and my daughter," Marie Louis' daughter Lyndie Louis said. "She's 8. Every time she comes home, she's been asking, 'Why can't grandma come back, Mom?' My mom was a very loving and devoted woman." She added, "I think that the defendant should be in jail and not at home. We can't see our families now and why should he?” She concluded, “We need justice."
Galle pleads 'not guilty'
Galle appeared in court for the first time on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, and for each count, he has been charged with a second-degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. He was placed under house arrest after his bond was set at $300,000, with $50,000 set aside for each collision fatality. He was placed under the supervision of a responsible parent and prohibited from contacting the victims' relatives. According to court documents, Galle pleaded not guilty to all allegations. Douglas Duncan, one of his lawyers, said he can't comment on pending matters. Pero Family Farms have set up a GoFundMe page for the victims’ family.
