The officials from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested the Port Richey mayor, Dale Massad, who was elected in 2015.
The mayor of Port Richey, Florida was inches away from death after he fired two shots at a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, while they were at his house to serve a warrant, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said on Thursday.
The officials from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested the Port Richey mayor, Dale Massad, who was elected in 2015, after Massad was accused of practicing medicine without a license. After Thursday's incident, Massad now faces two additional charges of attempted murder, according to CNN.
The FDLE, in a release, said that Massad had relinquished his medical license in 1992 but was still practicing medicine as patients were coming to his home.
