Florida boy, 8, who threatened to 'kill everyone' at foster home arrested for slitting minor's throat
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA: An 8-year-old Florida boy has been arrested for allegedly slitting another child's throat and threatening to kill everyone else at a foster home.
The incident took place in Lake County on Saturday, March 11, when the young boy choked another foster child at the residence, according to an affidavit obtained by FOX 35 Orlando.

When the victim complained of breathing problems, the 8-year-old let him go. But, when the victim approached him again later, the accused allegedly grabbed a knife and slit the child’s throat. The victim’s friend was able to wrest the knife out of the attacker’s hand and hide it.
The boy then went to grab a stick and tried to hit the victim, according to the affidavit, but was stopped by multiple juveniles. He then allegedly asked for the knife and said that he was going to "kill everyone" before entering the residence once again to look for another knife.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a child slitting another child's throat. Upon arrival, the deputy observed the boy outside the residence banging on the front door. The boy was crying and saying he did not want to be taken away. The child pulled away multiple times while attempting to be placed in handcuffs, the affidavit stated. While the deputy attempted to put him inside a marked patrol vehicle, the boy allegedly kicked a master deputy and the patrol vehicle.
The 8-year-old juvenile defendant was placed under arrest and is currently detained at the Lake County Detention Center. The foster child who had his throat slit did not appear to be seriously hurt and was alert and responsive while being interviewed by police.
Charges against the 8-year-old juvenile
The minor was slapped with multiple charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery by strangulation, battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, and resisting a law enforcement officer.
The juvenile also reportedly has a past history of violence. "It should be noted that the juvenile defendant has a past history of violence at the residence and to others. The foster children are in fear of the juvenile defendant", according to the affidavit.
