Mattie Lynn Breaux and Jeremiah Buoni had a chemistry that was hard to ignore but looks like things have taken a different turn. In the episode that aired on February 13, Jeremiah's brother, Josh Buoni, came to spend some time in the house. This allowed him to meet Mattie, someone Jeremiah had been spending a lot of time with.

While everyone was convinced that Jeremiah and Mattie's relationship might lead to something serious, Josh asked him if he was ready to do a long-distance relationship, Jeremiah admitted that he did not want to because he had other things to focus on. While Jeremiah knew this, Josh wasn't sure if Mattie was aware of these feelings.

Josh suggested it would be good if Jeremiah spoke to Mattie and explained what was going on in his mind. This prompted Jeremiah to call Mattie and tell her that he was not ready to have a long-distance relationship as he had other things that he needed to prioritize. Mattie was left shocked as she thought she was misled.

However, Jeremiah did not feel this way. He thought that he was always honest with Mattie and did not understand what their relationship meant. Even the other cast members thought that what Jeremiah did was wrong. Gus Smyrnios was not happy and recalled that he had warned Mattie about this.

Aimee Hall also thought that Jeremiah led Mattie on and did not tell her what he was really feeling. She also called him out for making out with her, knowing full well that he would not be able to commit to her. Fans also thought that what Jeremiah did was not right.

"There’s no doubt that Jeremiah did Mattie wrong. He led her on. He made her think that something was going to go past the house. And then tries to pretend that he told her from the beginning. Buddy, you never did and you suck right now," read one comment.

Another added, "BIG MISTAKE JEREMIAH... Like bruh Mattie is so far out of your league and now you gave her up FOR WHAT????" Even though Mattie and Jeremiah did not work out, fans sure think that she deserves someone better.

'Floribama Shore' airs on Thursdays at 8 pm ET on MTV.
