Jesse and Tina can transform any house they set their eyes on and this time, they have a vintage masterpiece that they need to restore. In the latest episode (July 9) of the show, the duo had the task of revamping a house that was built in 1898. With 2,000 square feet the room offers a large area for any family to spend some good quality time together.

At the same time, having five bedrooms and two and a half bath in it, the house would be on anyone's wish list. Buying the house at $300,000 Jesse and Tina were excited to get started on the renovation. They did not want to spend a lot of money and made sure to keep a tab of how much they would have to put in to renovate the house completely.

As they walked into the house, Tina and Jesse realized that the house badly needed an overhaul. They wanted to make sure that the house allowed people to walk freely while it also looked inviting enough for people to walk in and stay. One thing that the couple decided on was breaking down the wall that divided two rooms.

Jesse and Tina wanted to provide a bigger living room that allowed all the family members to sit and enjoy time together. At the same time, as they walked into the kitchen area, they realized it lacked any windows. Jesse and Tina decided to create space for the window. Without wasting much time, the pair got to the task of renovating the entire place and had an estimated expenditure of $90,000. However, there were taken by surprise when they found out that the wood in the attic had been burnt. Jesse realized there had been a fire in the house and even though the wood was damaged, they were thankful it was only the top layer and the rest of the wood was intact.

Jesse realized they will have to spend an extra $1800 more on wiring to make sure everything in the house was fit. Once they got that done, Tina started looking for colors, tiles and wallpapers that she thought would help give the house the vintage touch. She made sure to keep in mind the gothic element that the house represented and chose the color scheme accordingly. As the pair got their remodeling and decorations in place, it was time to show the house to some buyers. They anticipated the buying amount to be somewhere around $500,000.

With many people coming in and loving the house they had renovated, the couple finally settled on a price of $509,000. They managed to make a profit of nearly $100,000 and were satisfied with the renovation they had done.

'Flipping Across America' airs on Thursdays at 9 pm ET on HGTV.
