For the second episode of the all new season of 'Flip or Flop', viewers miss Christina Anstead as she takes off for a vacation and Tarek El Moussa flips a house with friend Rob. The HGTV production was one of the most popular shows on the channel and the former couple came back on screen to co-host its new season.

It was a little weird to see Christina take off for a vacation when the whole point of the series is for them to flip houses together. Fans of the show have been excited to see the two of them together since they have gone through so much ups and downs. In Christina’s own words, “Even after babies, divorces, and engagements the show continues.... I am beyond grateful for this crazy ride,” she recently shared on instagram.

However, Tarek takes on the challenge and asks his friend Robert Drenk if he would be interested to invest in a property and flip it with him. Rob, hesitant to mix friendship with business at first, eventually agrees and gets a little too excited for Tarek as opposed to the calmness that Christina exudes. Tarek later says that “Rob is doing all the rookie stuff that I did when I started off” and confesses that he missed Christina.

Meanwhile, the interiors of the Lakewood house Tarek and Rob decide to flip blows their mind, but not in a good way. They find a bunch of stuff piled on top of each other all over the floor making it difficult to see from one wall to the other. It could very well be mistaken for an episode of ‘Hoarders’ by the amount of stuff that was piled up in there. Once they got rid of everything, the house seemed pretty spacious but there was just one more obstacle they needed to get over with before they could start flipping. The wiring of the place needed to be re-done. While Tarek was worried about the cost of the repair, Rob was excited because now he could get underwired floors in the bedroom.

The cost of the entire damage repair or as they call it the rehab cost was around $81,000. Co-investors Tarek and Rob bought the property at $566,500. Finally they were able to flip the house successfully and as always, the transformation was so drastic that it was almost unrecognizable. They sold the brand new revamped property at a whopping $617,000.

'Flip or Flop' airs Thursdays at 9/8c on HGTV.
