21-yr-old medical student delivers his first baby after pregnant woman goes into labor at train station
First-year medical student Hamzah Selim heard a pregnant woman's cries at Warren Street station in central London and helped her deliver a healthy baby
A first-year medical student delivered his first baby in the most unconventional manner when he put his skills to test at a London underground station.
On the afternoon of January 15, Hamzah Selim heard a pregnant woman's cries at Warren Street station in central London and rushed to her rescue, Daily Mail reports.
The expectant mother was leaning against a wall near the train's platform when the 21-year-old medical student spotted her. Selim, who is studying at the University College London, realized she was in labor when he rushed over to see what was wrong. At the time, he was on his way home following an anatomy lecture at a nearby university campus.
