Kevin Fret, the first openly gay Latin trap artist, is shot and killed aged 24 in Puerto Rico

Latin trap artiste Kevin Fret was shot dead at the young age of 24 in Puerto Rico on Thursday, January 10. It has been reported that Fret was riding his motorcycle when he was shot dead at around 5.30 am in the morning on Thursday in San Juan.
Later, that same day, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the Medical Center of Rio Piedras, the police shared with El Nuevo Dia. According to one of Puerto Rico's biggest newspapers, 'El Vocero' Kevin Fret was shot around eight times.
Fret was a known advocate for the LGBTQ community and was also one amongst the handle of gay rappers on the island nation. An investigation into his murder is currently underway.
