Melania and Ivanka Trump were both slammed for not showing their solidarity with the Democratic women who were wearing white in remembrance of the suffragette movement.
President Donald Trump's State of the Union Address on Tuesday to the 116th United States Congress had quite a few highlights — from his call for bipartisanship moving forward to a suggestion that a national emergency be declared on the country's southern border to, of course, Nancy Pelosi's sarcastic applause during the speech.
But some latched onto First Lady Melania Trump's dress, and slammed her for not being dressed appropriately for the occasion. Both Melania as well as Ivanka Trump were pictured sporting black, something which would have gone unnoticed on any other day, but for the fact that every Democratic congresswomen was dressed in a particular color to send a message.
