Pre-race buzz
The official logline of the race on the NASCAR site reads: "The Federated Auto Parts 400 marks the 127th Cup race hosted by Richmond Raceway in the series’ history. The .75-mile oval located in Henrico County, Virginia has an asphalt racing surface with 14 degrees of banking in turns 1-4. With 8 degrees on the frontstretch and 2 degrees on the backstretch, this track is similar to an intermediate track but races like a short track. Due to COVID-19, the Cup Series missed the first scheduled race at Richmond this year, creating uncertainty heading into the second race of the Round of 16. Richmond held its first Cup race in 1953 and Lee Petty won."
Talking to MRN ahead of the race, driver Kyle Busch said: "I’ve won there six times and I’ve been in the top-five about every time we go there, so I would like to think that we can keep that string going and, more importantly, get a win. We need some wins this year and we look forward to Richmond being one of those places we can do that."
Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, brothers Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch are the scores and stats winner predictions ahead of the race.
