'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 7: Top five characters most likely to die in the midseason finale
Step by step, and episode by episode, a war has been building up, one that aims to take Virginia (Colby Minifie) down for good. Though wars have uncertain outcomes, one thing always remains true – people are going to die. Here's a list of the top five people we think may die in the midseason finale, and what their deaths could mean for the rest of the season.
1. Victor Strand
There would be a certain poetic justice in Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) dying so soon after he betrayed his group to join the ranks of Virginia's Rangers. Strand has done a complete turnaround on people he once considered friends. Since then, he has been 100% on Virginia's side, embedding himself within the community, even turning on John Dorie (Garrett Dillahunt) when he felt it was necessary. His death would be a major punishment for his character and might lead to a tragic end.
2. Grace
Grace (Karen David) has been missing for quite a while, and Morgan (Leslie Jones) has been doing his best to find her, but his attentions have been divided by the Pioneers and the new community he is building. There would be nothing more heartbreaking than for him to find that Grace has died because his attentions were focused elsewhere, and if there's one thing 'Fear the Walking Dead' likes to do, it's hit its viewers hard. Additionally, it would only renew his focus on taking Virginia down for the rest of the season.
3. John Dorie
John Dorie may or may not have gone on the run from Virginia after the events of last week, but in either case, he's in danger. He knows, one way or the other, that Virginia would be the death of him. He's begged his wife to escape with him, but she remained resolute. If Virginia does end up being the death of him after all, it makes his pleas to leave that much more chilling - and convinces June (Jenna Elfman) once and for all that Virginia isn't the answer to anyone's problems.
4. Dakota
The teaser for the next episode of 'Fear the Walking Dead' shows that Dakota (Zoe Colletti) has gone missing - which turns everything on its head. We've seen that Virginia will do anything to keep her sister safe, and if something happens to her, there's no telling how far off the deep end Virginia will go. Dakota's death will send the rest of the season barelling down a much darker road, as Virginia will be out for blood, lashing out at everyone she can get her hands on.
5. Virginia
The show might actually surprise us, and see Virginia take the fall halfway through the season. Though she may have been set up as the Big Bad, taking her out this early puts things in a very uncertain state. People will be rushing in to fill the power vacuum. Virginia's death would break the Pioneers in a major way - and the rest of the season will be spent picking up the pieces.
