'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 6 Episode 4: Did Dakota murder Cameron? Here's why Virginia is protecting her

It's quite possible that Virginia's younger sister Dakota had a hand in the killing of Cameron

It was another chilling episode of 'Fear The Walking Dead'. At the beginning of Episode 4 of Season 6, a man named Cameron is discovered dead near the fences. After much speculation, Virginia (Colby Minifie) and the community realize that he was murdered. But who murdered him and what was the motive? The suspicion falls on Janis (Holly Curran) as they find her trying to escape.

John Dorie knows that it isn't her but Janis seems intent on taking the blame on herself as she feels that she doesn't have much left to live for. Throughout the episode, John struggles to get to the bottom of the mystery and prove her innocence but Janis confesses that she murdered Cameron. And Virginia's punishment for such deeds is death.

Janis is left to the Walkers and a furious John shoots her to put her out of misery. Upset that the execution had been advanced further than what was intended, this leads him into a confrontation with Strand, who is siding with Virginia as a matter of survival. Strand insists that it was better for Janis to go rather than John and that he is just looking out for him, but obviously, John won't hear of it.

The question that the episode brings forth is: Who actually killed Cameron? John has doubts that Virginia is trying to protect someone and the obvious answer is her sister Dakota (Zoe Colletti). Virginia is over-protective of her teenage sister and doesn't wish for her to engage in conversation with anyone. Dakota has shown that she's not quite the fan of Virginia and has tried to help Strand and Alicia out, hoping they would assist her in escaping from Lawton.

Considering that this is 'The Walking Dead' franchise, no character can be trusted completely, not even the so-called "good" people. It could just well be that Dakota murdered Cameron and Virginia has chosen to protect her from death. We're still getting to know Dakota's character traits and the rest of the season is yet to unfold. 

Or another entirely predictable possibility is that Virginia killed Cameron herself, for a certain reason, and Dakota could be connected with it. The show has its twists and turns. 'Fear The Walking Dead' airs on AMC on Sundays at 9 pm.
