Episode 12 sees Agent Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) investigating an extremist group undercover at a bar owned by a man named Colin. The gang finds out that the group is going to bomb a homeless shelter via truck bomb as a homeless person killed the sister of one of the violent trio. Maggie who initially thought the men had mistaken Colin as the one who conspired against them, goes to warn him but later finds out the plan is already in motion and rushes to the scene along with her team.
At the site, the culprits are apprehended but disclose that the bomb cannot be defused even if they wanted to. This poses a major problem as it will go off in three minutes and the bomb disposal squad which may have had some luck is eight minutes away. This sees Maggie make a split-second decision where she drives the truck to a dock six blocks away in order to save the lives of all the people the bomb would kill if it goes off in the vicinity. With the clock ticking she drives fast risking her life and somehow manages to get it there and jumps out and runs with only a few seconds to spare.
Although she survived it was an extremely close call that could have seen her die in her attempt at saving innocent people. Fans who tuned in were on edge the entire time and breathed a sigh of relief later. They took to Twitter to praise her for her heroic actions, here's what they said.
