FaZe Clan ends ties with editor FaZe Barker after minor girls accuse him of asking for 'nude photos'
Following a bevy of allegations against the editor of FaZe Clan, FaZe Barker, the famous gaming and entertainment group decided to end its association with Barker. The 25-year-old Barker found himself at the center of sexual abuse allegations after numerous girls came forward with claims that the editor had asked them for explicit photos and sent inappropriate videos that were made public.
On June 5, a Twitter user named Emelie accused the editor of FaZe Clan of "sexually harassing", "manipulating", "threatening to self-harm" and "disrespecting boundaries". In her tweet, Emelie wrote, "Sexually harassing, guilting, manipulating and threatening to self-harm when girls do not give you what you want is NEVER okay and im not going to let this continue to happen and allow you to have a platform in which you manipulate and abuse any girl that gives u the time of day."
"You have continually disrespected multiple peoples boundaries and i am done sitting around watching it happen to people I care about, as well as the girls u use every month and then move on to the next one," she added.
Emelie then began posting screenshots of her conversations with Barker. In the screenshots, Barker can be seen requesting for explicit pictures, and making other demands despite knowing that the girl he's talking to is an underage minor. Following Emelie's tweets, several other girls came forward with allegations of similar experiences with the FaZe Clan editor.
A Twitter user by the name of Fiore claimed that Barker asked her for explicit pictures. She tweeted, "Yes, FaZe Barker asked me for explicit photos when I was 16. If you need the proof I will send it to you, but I can promise I am not lying about this." She added a screenshot of the alleged conversation as evidence in another tweet. When several girls began coming forward with their accusations of misbehavior by Barker, the editor called these girls "snake" in his tweet. As the allegation continued pouring in, Barker posted, "people you thought were your friends = snake".
He then sent one of the girls a message threatening to hurt himself with a razor. After these allegations began doing rounds on the internet, the official Twitter page of FaZe Clan posted a tweet that they no longer have any relationship/ association with the editor. They posted, "We have ended our relationship with Barker, one of our former team editors. He no longer has any association with FaZe Clan."
