'Top Chef' star Fatima Ali dies at 29 after battling rare form of bone cancer
In 2018, she was declared free of the disease but unfortunately, that wasn't for too long. The cancer returned again by September, this time to worsen her condition even more
Pakistani-American chef, Fatima Ali, who was a contestant in season 15 of 'Top Chef' sadly passed away Friday after suffering from a rare kind of bone cancer, Ewing's sarcoma. The 29-year-old star was initially diagnosed with cancer back in 2017.
However, in 2018 she was declared free of the disease but unfortunately, that wasn't for too long. The disease returned again by September, this time to worsen her condition even more. Ali, who was voted 'fan favorite' on Top chef, was probably aware of the outcome since she confessed in an op-ed piece for Bon Appetit she barely had a year more to live.
