The Halloween season is over and the nation is now gearing up for the holiday season. So, it comes as no surprise that TV networks and streaming platforms are also set to come out with projects that will keep the holiday spirit going. One of the projects to kick-start the holiday season is none other than the Netflix movie ‘Father Christmas is Back’.

The upcoming movie revolves around four sisters getting together for a Christmas party after a long time. However, things get upside down when the reunion goes wrong for them and their families. Will they be able to get past the situation? Or someone else will help them in getting close to each other.

‘Father Christmas is Back’ joins the long list of Holiday movies like ‘Let it Snow’, ‘Dolly Patron’s Christmas on the Square’ and ‘Holidate’ to release on the platform. It’ll be interesting to see if the movie gets a warm reception from viewers or not.

When does ‘Father Christmas is Back’ release and where can you watch it

The upcoming movie will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on November 7. According to the Netflix press site, the holiday flick will be streaming on the platform at 3:01 am EST. Viewers can download the Netflix app from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.

What is ‘Father Christmas is Back’ all about

“Four feuding sisters get a crash course in family togetherness when their long-lost father shows up for Christmas at their posh ancestral manor.”

Who stars in the upcoming Netflix movie?

The movie features some of the well-known stars from the industry. Golden Globe-winning actor Kelsey Grammar will be playing the lead role of James Christmas while Elizabeth Hurley will be portraying one of the four sisters named Joanna Christmas.

Kelsey Grammar

The veteran actor began his acting career by appearing in several theatre productions during the 1970s and the 1980s. His moment of glory came in 1984 when he appeared as Dr. Frasier Crane in ‘Cheers’. Although, he was supposed to be on the show for six episodes, but turned out to be a series regular. Nine years later, he would reprise the role of Frasier Crane in the NBC sitcom ‘Frasier’. The show made him win five Primetime Emmys, two Golden Globes, and one Screen Actors Guild award.

Since then, he has appeared on numerous high-end projects like ‘Toy Story 2’, ‘X-Men: Days of the Future Past’, ‘The Simpsons’, ’30 Rock’ and ‘The Last Tycoon’.

The rest of the cast includes Nathalie Cox as Caroline Christmas, John Cleese as John Christmas, Caroline Quentin as Elizabeth Christmas, Talulah Riley as Vicky Christmas, Kris Marshall as Peter Hope, and Ray Fearon as Felix.



 

Creators

The movie is being helmed by the duo of Mick Davis and Philippe Martinez. Meanwhile, the film is penned by David Conolly, Dylanne Corcoran, and Hannah Davis.

Lee Beasley, Karinne Behr, Kristy Bell, and Phil McKenzie serve as executive producers on the movie.
