A Russian farmer's daughter is facing charges of "raping" an inebriated man with the handle of a shovel unto his death. Elena Povelyaikina is also charged with taking the life of another man in the Mikhailovka, Russia, according to a report by The Sun.

Local law enforcement has alleged that Povelyaikina attacked a 37-year-old "drunk" man after he refused to leave her family residence.

"At first the girl brutally beat the man, and then she took a handle from a shovel and committed violent acts of a sexual nature against the man," the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement. "When the victim died, the accused carried the body over the fence and threw it on the street.”

While investigators were initially unable to find a suspect in the death, a second killing reportedly led them straight to Povelyaikina. According to the report, she was sharing drinks with locals when a man named Ivan made "unflattering" comments about her 57-year-old father Pyotr.

The father, who is said to be a "wealthy" farmer, raised Povelyaikina and her 26-year-old brother Valery as a single dad.

According to the investigators, the 31-year-old man lay on a sofa in a drunken stupor when Povelyaikina reportedly leaped on him and beat him to death by punching and kicking him.

Police say Povelyaikina has confessed to both the murders. However, she is now refusing to testify in court. The report says the 22-year-old graduated from college and then returned home to give her father a helping hand on their family farm.

In another rather bizarre detail, the report added that Povelyaikina was a keen boxer and liked to draw pictures of people with severed limbs. What's more? Her artistic leanings reportedly worried other villagers.

According to the widely-read Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, locals said she was "small in stature" but "strong" as a bull.

"When she was beating Ivan, my sister and I begged her not to touch him," a witness to the second alleged murder told authorities on condition of anonymity. "We were afraid to intervene because she is very strong."

"He lay in the house for another day," they explained. “We did not call an ambulance, we thought he would recover by himself. But the next morning he stopped breathing."

Meanwhile, authorities said the woman was declared to be "sane" after a full series of psychiatric examinations.

"The defendant first confessed to both killings, then refused to testify," state investigator Ivan Lyubyi said. “She put forward several versions: that the first man died after he was hit by a car on the road, and the second from kidney failure, which he allegedly had. But forensic analysis refuted these versions."

“She was charged with intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim through negligence, and violence of a sexual nature," he added.

Povelyaikina's trial is expected to take place sometime later this year. According to the report, her father is selling some of his land to pay for her legal fees.
