'Fargo' Season 4 is nearing its end and in Episode 9 of the show, we see Rabbi Milligan and Satchel's fate get sealed just as we had expected -- with one's death and another running away. So when Rabbi and Satchel arrive at Liberal, Kansas, and end up at an inn where the guests are differentiated by their religious and political beliefs. This is where the reference to 'Wizard of Oz' comes in from and in this setting where there is the Witch of East and West, with the guests -- each of whom fans believe represented "the scarecrow, Tin men, and lion, with the sisters representing the two witches".

One fan asked on Reddit, "Did rabbi recognize his dad? Who was the kid with him, his younger brother?" The response to this question then opened up the possibility of how the man who was bandaged and the one who scared Satchel the most in the inn is none other than Rabbi's father and the boy who cared for the patient in the room is Rabbi's brother. The brother that Rabbi had regretted leaving behind in the care of his abusive father. Not many had seemed to observe this fact. In fact, one fan even wondered if they had missed something.

It was another viewer who had explained the reference and said, "The guy with the respiratory problems was Rabbi's dad that he supposedly killed. I m assuming the kid taking care of him was his younger brother. It was very interesting how they filmed the scene with Satchel's interaction with them. You can recognize the malice and evil emanating from that room and see satchel s obvious discomfort." This made sense, and so another fan then added, "Oh you’re right! good catch. And rabbi almost definitely didn’t recognize his dad because it looks like he just walks right by the room without glancing into it."

Another fan also noted how this scene featuring the same actor who played Rabbi's father also referenced 'A Serious Man. The fan wrote, "Anyone else catch the connection to A Serious Man? Beside the tornado, the dude in the hotel room getting that cyst thing drained on his back."

Fans have also taken to discussing the connection between Rabbi and Mike Milligan from the previous seasons of 'Fargo'. One fan wrote, "I mean, Satchel is an age-appropriate African American being looked after by a man named Milligan who has ties to the Italian Mafia. Could they be more obvious? That said, I don’t think the Satchel = Mike this is supposed to be a twist. I think it’s just a self-apparent thing that is. I don’t think there is ever going to be a big reveal or a moment where Satchel becomes Mike or anything along those lines. I think Hawley is going to subvert expectations and instead of making it this huge deal, it’s just a thing."

The scene of Satchel walking away with his dog Rabbit also indicates that the show will mostly not include a big moment of reveal. Instead, we would now return to Kansas City to see how things turn out between Loy Cannon and the Italian mafia.

'Fargo' Season 4's new episodes air every Sunday at 10 pm ET on FX and can be streamed on Hulu.
