Bill Burr leaves 'Star Wars' fans with a smile after his appearance on 'The Mandalorian'

The comedian's guest appearance on the Disney+ show as a fast-talking mercenary was a hit with the fans.

Spoiler alert for Episode 6 of 'The Mandalorian'

This week's episode of 'The Mandalorian' had a lot more talking than we're used to from the the series starring the most stoic character in the galaxy, and a large part of that is due to comedian Bill Burr's guest appearance on the show. While the show had quite the start-studded cast, including Richard Ayoade and Clancy Brown, Twitter was all abuzz with Bill Burr's performance as the fast-talking mercenary, Mayfield.

"What an awesome surprise it was to see @billburr in Mandalorian. Great episode," said a fan on Twitter. Bill Burr's character kept Bill Burr's comedic stylings, poking fun at Gungans and Stormtrooper accuracy (or lack thereof). "Bill Burr on The Mandalorian making fun of alien races is pretty on-brand," notes one tweet. His comedic stylings weren't the only thing Bill Burr carried into his performance, as one tweet notes: "Seeing @billburr in @themandalorian is so fantastic and he crushes his role, but it proves I still hate the Boston accent no matter how many galaxies far away"

Even fans disgruntled with the series' quality couldn't stay mad at 'The Mandalorian' for long - at least, not when it brings their favourite comedian to the small screen. "#Mandalorian as much as you've sucked lately you bring me Bill Burr. I'm back mando, I'm back," said a fan.

Like most side characters on the series, Mayfield isn't here to stay for very long. The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) makes quite sure of this, in fact, as after being betrayed by Mayfield and his crew, the Mandalorian takes each member out, one by one. They're last seen locked together in a jail cell on the high-security New Republic prison ship the episode is set on. Still, however brief, Bill Barr's appearance left everyone smiling - and there's plenty of room for a revenge story in Season 2.

The next episode of 'The Mandalorian' airs December 18 on Disney+.
