'90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' Season 7: TLC slammed for not ousting 'abusive and manipulative' Angela

Fans believe Angela Deem is only trying to stir up trouble by preparing a surprise trip to Nigeria to meet Michael Ilesanmi and the contents on his cellphone

HAZLEHURST, GEORGIA: Angela Deem is preparing a surprise. The '90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?' star is planning an unannounced trip to Nigeria to see her husband, Michael Ilesanmi, who recently came out against her 112-pound weight reduction after surgery.

Angela is preparing her things to go confront Michael in Nigeria, and she is both eager and angry about it. The most important part? Michael has no idea Angela is on her way. She's schooled herself on her spousal rights under his country's Marriage Act, and informs her friend Renee that whatever Michael possesses in Nigeria is legally hers as well.

"I don't wanna be cute," Angela says to her friend. "I want to be sexy. Last time I was there, I was 276 pounds. I am going there 164, but Rene, he hasn't said one word in the last two years about how good I've looked." Angela carried out the procedure against Michael's objections. His main issue was that the procedure had reduced Angela's breast size. Michael conveyed his displeasure with the outcomes over FaceTime in a prior episode. "It's quite different from previous ones," he said through FaceTime to Angela's surgeon. "I don't think this is big." "Your husband looks really hurt," the surgeon observed.

Angela isn't only going to surprise Michael because she wants to show off her new body. As the couple's long-distance marriage progresses, Angela suspects Michael of defrauding her. Michael renewed his Instagram account without notifying Angela, then demanded $5,000 from her to remove it after she accused him of using the platform to flirt with other women. "I hope I look so good to Michael that he's gonna regret how he's been treating me and what he's been doing to me," Angela says in a confessional interview in Sunday's episode. I want to save this marriage, but the reality is, if I find out Michael is scamming me, this marriage is over immediately." She expresses concern to Rene about Michael "just using me to get over here [to the U.S.]" and is half-tempted to tell him, "That's what I've got in my head now because of how you've treated me. Like, you ain't doing it for love."

Even Rene had no idea the trip was a surprise for Michael. Angela has a plan: she'll walk up unexpectedly and rummage through Micahel's phone. "Surprise motherf***er," she exclaims. "I want to surprise him because I'm going through that motherf***ing phone. That's how I roll."

Last year, Angela encountered Renee in the airport after smelling smoking on her and asking for a cigarette. They bribed a toilet attendant to leave while they smoked in the airport washroom, and it instantly united them in a Thelma and Louise-like friendship — so much so that Renee offered to accompany Angela to Nigeria to assist with the ambush.

"If I found out Michael was scamming me, then the whole relationship was fake," Angela says. She has to learn the truth before his visa is approved because she does not want him to come to America if he has been taking advantage of her the entire time.

Looking at unhinged Angela on the September 25 episode, fans took to social media to call out on her behavior. A fan wrote: "I dint want to treat my husband this way..." says a manipulative narcist #90dayfiance "I don't want to hit you but...." Some fans think its Angela's guilty conscience that's making her do all the 'nonsense': "Angela sounds stupid talking about whatever he has is hers so she can take his phone. Her guilty conciense has her doing all this nonsense. She knows what she's doing so she assumes he's doing the same. She needs to sit her old ass down #90dayfiance." Fans further called Angela out for having a Canadian man as a backup but putting up rules for Michael to follow: "So Angela has a back up if her and Michael don’t work out saying she’ll just get on a plane to Canada but Michael can’t have an Instagram?!?! Putting a timeline on Angela and Rene's friendship, a fan tweeted: "JoJo is no longer friends with Angela, I wonder how much long her and Renee will be friends? #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHEA."

Calling Angela racist for treating Michael like she owns him, a fan tweeted: "Angela is pure trash. She’s worse than Big Ed in the 90 day universe. She’s a racist piece of garbage who treats Michael like she bought him at auction. #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter." Slamming the network for keeping Angela on the show given her behavior, a fan tweeted: "Why is it that other cast members get the boot when they misbehave and yet Angela gets rewarded with new teeth, surgery and shows by @90DayFiance. I’d like to know #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter #90DayFiance." Questioning why TLC would keep Angela around after her abusive attitude towards Michael, a viewer wrote: "If Angela was a man, she’d have been fired from this show for abusive behavior toward Michael years ago. Why is she still employed by @TLC? She’s volatile, nasty, physically/emotionally abusive and manipulative. Enough is enough. #90DayFiance #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter."
