LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The filming for 'The Last of Us' Season 2 Episodes 1 and 2 has been completed, sparking excitement among fans eager to follow Joel and Ellie's adventure.

'The Last of Us' made a big impact when it first aired on HBO. With Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, the series became a standout in the post-apocalyptic genre, filling the gap left by 'The Walking Dead'.

Based on the popular video game series by Naughty Dog, the show goes beyond typical zombie action, exploring themes like family and sacrifice while staying true to the game's essence.

Both critics and fans loved how closely the show stuck to the source material, even recreating scenes from the game. This faithfulness drew in viewers who hadn't played the game before.

However, a recent post shared on X on Sunday, April 14, revealed that filming for Episode 2 has just concluded, following the completion of Episode 1 on April 7.

A new update from the Directors Guild of Canada also indicates that Episode 3 of 'The Last of Us' Season 2 is already in production. Mark Mylod and Kate Herron are directing these episodes, while Craig Mazin directed Episode 1.

Many fans eagerly await the next season of 'The Last of Us', with one fan saying, "Can’t wait for S2," while another wrote, "No one in the world is more excited about The Last Of Us S2 than this fella!" "Lou1&2 are some of the best games I’ve ever played," commented one fan of the series. 

One fan wrote, "Break my heart! I'm ready!" Praising Pedro Pascal for his performance in Season 1, a fan wrote, "Thank you pedro pascal been a good run." An excited fan said, "Can not wait!"

If you've played the games, you know exactly what happens to Joel. Lots of fans are guessing he might meet his end in Season 2 of 'The Last of Us', with one saying, "OH NO well I am not going through that again with Joel so I will not watch it," while another fan commented, "Oh it probably had “the scene” at the end of it."

Referring to the video game, one fan wrote, "That must mean that the golfing scene has been filmed." One fan, speculating about the ending of Season 2 wrote, "Right when Joel dies, that's when it's finished."
