‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ continuously manages to feed viewers with delicious content. The recent episode of the show saw John Walker (Wyatt Russell) trying to become a better superhero. However, it looks like he has a long way to go. Walker seems to have become invincible by taking the ‘super soldier serum’ and brutally killing one of the Flag-Smashers.

The makers have taken some inspiration from the comics where Walker’s aggressive nature makes him one of the most hated people in the Marvel universe. It becomes so bad that Walker gives up the shield and asks Steve Rogers to take up the mantle again.

So, are we going to see Rogers taking up the shield and becoming the nation’s hero again? If we do, will fans get to see Chris Evans reprising the role of Steve in the series? According to one of the stars, we might get lucky in seeing Evans in the MCU once again.

Speaking in an interview with BBC Radio 1, Russell spilled some beans and teased the possibility of Chris Evans appearing as Steve Rogers on the show. When asked if he has met Evans, Russell said, “I think I have. I don’t think I’ve ‘shook his hand’ met him, but I think I’ve walked by him somewhere and made eye contact. That counts as being a stalker, that doesn’t count as meeting anybody. But, I guess it would.”

The actor also revealed that people will be really excited to see the end of the series and they just need to wait for the special moment. “You just gotta wait until the end of the series and then everybody will be like, ‘Oh, wow,’” Russell concluded.

Will Chris Evans make an appearance in the series?

Now, of course, fans are excited to learn that Evans might once again be wearing the iconic costume. However, fans should also understand that Russell hasn’t said anything about the cameo. He just said that people will be surprised by what happens at the end of the show, which could mean they will either be surprised by a Steve cameo or surprised that he never actually showed up.

In January, Deadline reported that Evans might show up in future Marvel projects and fans quickly began to speculate that he might be making an appearance in the Disney+ series. ‘Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ acts as a sort of epilogue to Evans’ tenure, so he will at least be mentioned on the show, if not actively on it. Until now, he has been mentioned several times by Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

But there is still some possibility of Evans making a cameo. Fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming ‘Loki’ series and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ and there is a bit of chance that the Marvel multiverse could come into the fray, and we could see Rogers from an alternate timeline. But these are still theories. We would have to wait and see if Russell’s potential tease turns out to be true or not.

‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ returns to Disney+ with a new episode every Friday.
