'Extreme Engagement': Release date, cast, plot, trailer and everything you need to know about Netflix's unscripted reality TV show

Reality TV series are booming with the release of new shows apart from already renewed old ones, including 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians', 'Real House Wives of Beverly Hills', 'The Bachelor', 'The Bachelorette', 'Queer Eye' and 'Yummy Mummies' among others.

Apart from the regular love and family-related reality TV shows, there are also a few series on marriages like 'Yes To The Dress', 'Married at First Sight', '90 Day Fiancé' and 'Bridezilla'. Adding to that list comes Netflix's brand new reality TV series 'Extreme Engagement'.

'Extreme Engagement' will release on Netflix on July 12, 2019. 

Plot

'Extreme Engagement' is Australia’s first unscripted original series for Netflix. According to Netflix, an engaged couple travels the world for a year to explore marriage customs in diverse cultures. Will the journey bring them closer or tear them apart?

Cast 

The cast consists of Tim Noonan and his fiancée PJ Madam. According to Noonan's website, he is a world-traveling filmmaker, multi-award winning cameraman, journalist, and television presenter. He is also the co-founder of Wildman Films with PJ Madam. Noonan is the executive producer, host, and DOP of 'Extreme Engagement'. He is also the host and creator of the TV series 'Boy to Man', 'Wildman: Extreme Adventurer' (UK) and 'Rite of Passage' (US).

PJ Madam is a reporter. She studied politics and communications at the University of Queensland. According to her website, her love of politics helped her become the youngest parliamentary attendant in the parliament's history. She now stars against her fiancé in 'Extreme Engagement'. 

Creator 

Tim Noonan is the executive producer, host and DOP of 'Extreme Engagement'.

Trailer 

The trailer revolves around Noonan and PJ Madam who put their relationship to the test as they travel around the world to test and compare the various marriage customs and traditions in eight of the world's toughest places. This is Australia's first unscripted reality TV show. In the trailer, the couple starts off on a happy note visiting remote tribes around the world to get their relationship to work. As the trailer goes, the couple faces trials and tribulations that get them into a tiff, but will they rise above it and get married?
