EXCLUSIVE | 'Twin Love' stars Samir and Samer Akel open up on love, money and being twice as good at everything
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Samir and Samer Akel are a complete package, men with manners, money, and respect for women. There's no doubt about how both won the hearts of fans, with one of them managing to secure the championship title in 'Twin Love' Season 1.
The twin brothers were already well-known in the restaurant business, but now they have become a hot commodity among ladies as well. The Akel twins are successfully running their 6 restaurants, from Souther Deli to Sushi restaurant to Crave Cafe.
MEAWW had an exclusive conversation with Samir and Samer Akel, "part-time business owners and full-time twins," to know what the Amazon Prime Video stars have been up to lately.
Bagging 'Twin Love's championship title has not restricted either of the brothers from striving to achieve more. They told MEAWW, "Our future plans, of course, are to grow more in our business."
However, the Akel twins would also like to explore further opportunities in showbiz. They shared, "We’re also open to doing another show or role in TV or movies and are excited to explore that if there’s a fit."
Samir and Samer say that they started their journey 'from the bottom,' and now being business owners makes them feel proud of themselves. When asked how they got themselves into 'Twin Love,' they revealed they were approached by one of the casting producers. They "loved" the idea of doing a new TV show and said "let’s do it!" to it.

'Twin Love' winners Samir and Baelee Bogart were rewarded with $50K in prize money. Toward the end of the Amazon Prime Video show, the couple was given a chance to split their money with their twins or split between them.
Both Samir and Baelee chose to keep the money to themselves. When asked what they did with the prize money, Samir said that they "shared it with our twins. On my side, we are investing it in business."

Why did 'Twin Love' winner Samir Akel break up with Baelee Bogart?
Sharing the specifics of his relationship with Baelle to MEAWW, Samir said, "We were doing so good when we lived together in the same house." However, things went awry after they walked out of the house.
Samir and Baelee are no longer together. Samir blames their breakup on the long distance. He says, "When we had to go to reality and live so far from each other, the distance did not help our relationship and made it harder on us."
The distance was indeed the "big breaker" between Samir and Baelee. They then decided to be "friends and not more."

Are twin brothers Samir and Samer Akel dating anyone now?
As the twin brothers walked out of the dating show, they spilled the tea about their dating life to MEAWW. Both are seen developing friendships with fellow co-stars and twin sisters Maddie and Gaby Capozza, but if the Akel brothers are to be believed, they are not dating the Capozza sisters.
When asked about their relationship statuses, the twin brothers said, "After the show, we’ve just been focused on ourselves, our businesses, and our future goals. But, of course, we’re both open to meeting someone and being in love in a relationship again."
Samir and Samer also threw light on how being on a reality show was a "different experience" for them. "It was a new experience for us to be behind the cameras, and be on national TV," said the Akels.
Samir and Samer claimed their best experience from the show was "when they got to meet again" after living in two different houses.
Living their American dream, the Akel brothers started their journey from scratch. They have now successfully built new connections and businesses and are happy with their decisions.
