Ex-NFL player Michael Strahan offers Clemson Tigers 'a proper meal' after Trump's fast food spread
A former National Football League (NFL) Hall of Fame player, Michael Strahan, has reportedly offered the Clemson Tigers a better meal than the fast food which was laid out for the football players during the White House spread hosted by President Donald Trump on Monday. The co-host of the talk show, GMA Day, Strahan, invited the championship winning team to a dinner in New York City and said that he would love to pay for the upscale meal for the players.
Strahan, who played for the New York Giants, on Tuesday said: "I would like to invite the Clemson Tiger football team here for a great meal." The former footballer extended the invitation to the players live on air. “Whoever can make it, we’ll hook you up with lobster. Whatever you want, we’re going to take care of you,” Strahan added. “We’re going to give you the proper meal that you deserve because that was one great game, a great accomplishment."
