'Interesting to explore': Erica Lee teases 'John Wick' spinoffs featuring The Bowery King and Akira
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'John Wick' movie franchise has created a universe of its own with many chapters and as many interesting characters. 'John Wick: Chapter 4' is a box-office hit and was loved by Rotten Tomatoes. Although we don't have any answers about if there would be another chapter to the Keanu Reeves-led franchise, we do know about the spinoff movies that are going to be created out of this story.
The producer of 'John Wick: Chapter 4' Erica Lee shared her thoughts about which character's story she would like to see in the spinoff movies. Keanu Reeves' assassin franchise will see two upcoming spin-offs, the prequel series 'The Continental' and the Ana de Armas-led movie 'Ballerina'. Except for these two movies already in the pipeline, Lee shared that she would like to see spinoff movies created for The Bowery King and Chapter 4's essential character Akira.

Potential spinoff movies
In a recent interview, producer Erica Lee gave insight into the idea of potential spinoffs and said she thinks The Bowery King, played by Laurence Fishburne has a great story that is spinoff-worthy. The Bowery King is one of the two tritagonists of the 'John Wick' film Series. Another character that Lee talked about was Akira who joined the cast in chapter 4. Akira is played by Rina Sawayama, she plays the Osaka Continental's concierge, fighting alongside Wick throughout the film.
'There's definitely a lot of stuff we want to dig deeper into'
Lee shared about which character she wants to see having their own spinoff movie and said, "Yeah, I think the world of the Bowery King and the Bowery is something that we're really interested in exploring more of. He sort of runs the underground, and it's such an interesting world. How does he get the guns and the boats? He shows up everywhere. He's the leader; he has homeless running the streets and information through pigeons. He's low-tech and analog in a digital world, and he knows everyone and gets everywhere. I think that is something that's really interesting to explore. The character of Akira really pops in the movie, and I'd love to sort of see some further adventures with her character. There's a lot! There's a lot of characters in John Wick 4, and a lot of fan favorites from movies of the past. There's definitely a lot of stuff we want to dig deeper into." shared Lee according to Screen Rant.
