Times are getting tough and we could all do with a dose of cheer. So in that spirit, here's some good news. Everyone's favorite comedian Eric Andre is all set for his first stand-up special on Netflix. Titled 'Legalize Everything', the special was filmed at the Republic in New Orleans back in November 2019. This comedy special will include a wide range of subjects as Andre will take on the topics of war on drugs, war on sex, and a whole lot of other edgy material.

Release date

The show will release on June 23, Tuesday, on Netflix.

Plot

Eric Andre will take the stage in New Orleans and tackle flawed fast-food icons, autofill and the strange choice for 'Cops' theme song. The official description reads, "Andre breaks the boundaries of comedy as he critiques the war on drugs, the war on sex, and the war on fart jokes!" The show begins with a sketch of Andre posing as a police officer and offering drugs to everyone on the street.  Andre tells The Daily Beast that some “middle-aged white people” at Netflix requested him to remove the joke, in the wake of the George Floyd protests. The comedian refused. “I’m like, no, guys!” Andre said. “This is the best time to do these jokes. This is what we need! We need to point out the absurdity of the police department and what a f**king hypocrisy and a disgrace it is. We need to point out police brutality. I am blessed that my stand-up special is coming out in this time."

Cast

Eric Andre attends the Global Press Conference for Disney’s THE LION KING on July 10, 2019 in Beverly Hills, California.

Eric Andre is a popular comedian, actor, producer, and musician. He wrote and co-created the Adult Swim comedy series 'The Eric Andre Show' (2012–present).
