English Ensemble Stars's Arashi's pronoun changed to him on Wiki, furious fans call admin 'transphobic'
The debate on Arashi from the popular anime game 'Enstars' has been going on for ages now. One of the most heated debates in the Enstars fandom is between those who believe that Arashi is a trans girl and those who say otherwise. In fact, the wiki reference avoided using pronouns for Arashi altogether, and apparently, this has been the case for some time now even though there have been several attempts to change this on the page owing to fans' fury.
After all the furore, the note on the wiki page now reads, "Note: The head admin does not allow gendered pronouns on Arashi's wiki page. However, the head admin permits the wiki to note that Arashi has stated a clear preference in the Japanese script for being referred to with feminine terms (ie, actress, female model, etc) and for being seen as a woman." And now, #GiveArashiHerPronounsBack is trending on Twitter again, as fans have begun to lash out at the wiki page. "If a character says in canon she prefers feminine pronouns there’s no debate #givearashiherpronounsback," a fan tweeted.
"A poll is up to potentially remove the head admin of the Enstars Wiki: https://ensemble-stars.fandom.com/wiki/Thread:93736… It appears the mod team attempted to add pronouns to Arashi's page. However, the head admin historically reverts the page back to he/him or pronounless whenever pronouns are added," a fan explained, sharing the screenshots of the earlier Wikipedia pages, where the mod team of the wiki page had tried to write that Arashi had a fluid identity.
"Hello!! our queen arashi has been mistreated and the head admin of the enstars wiki is transphobic and not letting her have she/her pronouns. Please help us get her pronouns back!! she is trans," another wrote. "'Am not into Enstars, but #givearashiherpronounsback trans women are still women," a fan tweeted. "For people who don't know what is happening: the enstars wiki admin removed Arashi's pronouns in her wiki! This is bad since Arashi is canonically trans and she's being misgendered! Rise your voices to give her her pronouns back!!!" another explained. "#givearashiherpronounsback PLEASE it's her pronouns and always has been!!!! saying they're not & just going off and changing the whole wiki back to he/him n none just cause u disagree and think is so stupid!!! (sic)," another wrote. "Please help us trend this hashtag!!! Please help us give arashi her pronouns back!!!" another wrote. "#givearashiherpronounsback your transphobia and refusal to acknowledge canon to 'remain respectful' is bull***t. respect is using the correct pronouns. Change them back and resign as head admin," another furious fan wrote. "Arashi is a girl why do u guys hate trans women so much what’s ur issue #givearashiherpronounsback," a fan wrote. "#givearashiherpronounsback arashi is a gorgeous trans woman and should have her pronouns in that enstars wiki page, respect her with her proper pronouns or im throwing hands it's not that f***ing hard," another fan wrote.
