Jussie Smollett attack: 'Empire' star's case gets murky as police suspect he may have staged alleged racist assault
Police are reportedly increasingly confident that the January 29 attack on Jussie Smollett was a hoax. It emerged that the alleged attackers worked on 'Empire' as extras.

Numerous reports indicate that the case of the alleged homophobic attack against 'Empire' star Jussie Smollett will be heard by a grand jury after police revealed that the incident may have been a hoax orchestrated by the actor.
According to TMZ, the authorities are now keeping a close eye on the two suspects who were apprehended in connection to the attack — Nigerian brothers Abimbola 'Abel' and Olabinjo 'Ola' Osundairo — to ensure Smollett doesn't try to contact them.
