'X Æ A-12': Elon Musk and Grimes' newborn son introduced to the world with a bizarre name and fake face tattoos
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has named his newborn son, who came into this world on Star Wars Day, May 4. The proud father shared the news on Twitter while holding his newborn son in his arms, hours after his girlfriend Grimes delivered the child.
He also revealed the name of the toddler in his typical style when a fan tweeted him asking, “We need the name we literally need it”. Musk responded to the tweet and shared that the baby was called “X Æ A-12 Musk.”
Though it is not clear if the 48-year-old entrepreneur was serious about the name or he was just joking or being cryptic. But his name revelation tweet soon became a viral discussion with people wondering how on earth the name should be pronounced and what does it even mean.
However, a Twitter user suggested the name can be pronounced as, “X Ash Archangel.” The user also shared the origin of the name by suggesting it could have something to do with the Scandinavian alphabet, in which Æ is pronounced “ash”, while A-12 is probably a reference to the Lockheed A-12, a CIA aircraft codenamed Archangel.
The social media user’s explanation was reportedly liked by Musk, hinting it could be correct.
Several people also speculated that Sasha or Sascha could be the name of Musk’s son, while some made fun of how to spell and pronounce the name with people sharing memes and jokes online to Musk's revelation.
Besides, the birth and name announcement, the CEO of SpaceX also shared a hilarious picture of his son with fake face tattoos.
The little one is the first child of Grimes and Musk, who also has five sons with his first wife, Justine Wilson. As per reports, Musk and the Candian singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, have been dating for the past two years. The pair first met each other on Twitter when Musk tweeted about the Rococo Basilisk character in her 'Flesh Without Blood' video and Grime got his nerdy joke.
In a March interview with Rolling Stones, Grimes spoke about her love life with Musk and confirmed that story! She said the philanthropist sent a message to her "because she had been the only other person alive to tweet a hyperspecific, hyperbrainy pun involving Roko’s Basilisk, a thought experiment about a murderous artificial intelligence."
In the same interview, the 32-year-old openly admitted that she "loves" her boyfriend and confessed, "I’m worried about having a kid because I’m so worried that my kid will be as crazy as me." “The sort of tragedy of agreeing to it, even though it’s this great thing. For a girl, it’s sacrificing your body and your freedom. It’s a pretty crazy sacrifice and only half of the population has to do it.
“I have sacrificed my power at this moment. I have, like, capitulated, And I have spent my whole life avoiding that situation. I have never capitulated to anything, so it was just a profound commitment,” Grimes said as she talked about the struggle that comes with pregnancy.
Grimes had confirmed her pregnancy in January as she took to Instagram weeks after sparking pregnancy speculations with a baby bump photo. In March, she confirmed that Musk was the father of the baby.
