8-year-old girl who saw her pet dog being fatally shot by pest controller right outside home left 'horrified and unable to speak'
An eight-year-old girl from Kazakhstan was left shaking and terrified after she witnessed her puppy being killed by a poison dart.
Shynali Risbibi, 8, was walking to school in Taraz, Kazakhstan last Thursday, when a pest controller saw her adorable spaniel Barsik walking without its lead and proceeded to shoot him to death, The Sun reports.
Shynali had reportedly walked about 33 feet from her home when the heartless pest controller, who was killing stray canines in the area, spotted Barsik and shot him in the neck with a poison dart.
CCTV footage from the scene shows the dog desperately trying to return home after the attack. However, the dying pet is seen in the heartbreaking video slowly falling on the ground while Shynali gently strokes him.
Meanwhile, the killer is seen standing in the background and checking his pneumatic air rifle after firing the deadly dart.
As the terrified girl rushes home to call for help, the pest controller is seen approaching Barsik, grabbing him by the neck, and carrying him away for disposal.
“My daughter ran home in tears. She was shaking and barely could speak," Shynali’s mother told local media. “After we realized what happened, my husband and I ran outside and found that man. After a huge quarrel, the worker opened his van and showed us Barsik. He was lying in there, dead, among other canine corpses."
“Shynali cried the whole day. We did not dare to tell her what we saw in the van," she continued. “Now we are looking for a black Spaniel to adopt.”
“The worker was reprimanded for carrying the air rifle in front of the child", said Anuarbek Kaltaev, the head of Animal Control. “The case is going to be investigated by the specialists of our unit. The worker will be fired if found guilty.”
