'DWTS' Season 32 judge Carrie Ann Inaba receives backlash as she dubs Lele Pons' dance moves 'sloppy'
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing With The Star' Season 32 judge Carrie Ann Inaba recently received backlash as she criticized Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong's performance during Monster Night.
Lele and Brandon performed the Paso Doble to 'Bloody Mary' by Lady Gaga. The 'DWTS' partners received their first 9 of the season 32 and ended their night with a score of 33.
During the latest episode, Carrie Ann told Lele that she hadn't finished her moves. Carrie also called Lele's performance 'sloppy'.
However, even before Carrie Ann could finish her criticism, the live audience booed her and she demanded that they let her finish. Meanwhile, the guest judge Niecy Nash commented that Lele needed to work on her arms and was also booed by the audience.
Meanwhile, social media users also slammed Carrie Ann for criticizing Lele's performance. A viewer tweeted, "Carrie ann seems to only have criticism for lele, I mean yea sure, these other people just get free passes, over it!"
Another person noted, "Once again w this unnecessarily harsh judging for lele… puh-lease.🙄give me a f*****g break y’all don’t act like this w everyone else???? smth not adding up."
Another user wrote "They don't judge fairly sometimes. They got so critical of Lele but didn't say much of anything about Harry."
Another critic added, "Usually I'd agree with CAI. But I think Lele actually did great with the finish of her moves tonight. She struggled with that earlier, but she's improving."
Another X user said, "I feel like the judges are way harder on Lele than some of these other contestants 😬."

Carrie Ann Inaba insists she doesn't mind getting 'booed' on 'DWTS'
'DWTS' Season 32 judge Carrie Ann Inaba often got booed when she tried to give harsh criticism to performances. However, the pro dancer has recently insisted that it doesn't bother her.
In a recent interview, when she was asked about getting 'booed', Carrie said, "The whole point is we want people to have their opinions. The reason why people get vested in this competition is because they have an opinion, and it matters."
She added, "We are one of the few [shows where] judges actually hold up scores. So, what we do matters, but also what everybody does at home matters. So, it’s good that they boo. I think it shows that they’re really supporting somebody. In fact, they’re very invested this season, let me say."
Carrie Ann Inaba apologizes to Derek Hough after the Disney Night drama
Carrie Ann Inaba interrupted Derek Hough when he tried to share his thoughts about Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong's performance during Disney Night. However, she received harsh backlash from the viewers.
After the online criticism, Carrie shared a video on her Instagram Stories and apologized to her co-judge, Derek. She wrote, "This is my public apology to Derek Hough for yelling out about a lift in the middle of his time."
Carrie continued, "I feel really bad and I just wanted to make a public apology because I know what that’s like when you lose a train of thought." She then quipped that she lost her train of thought 'even when nobody's yelling in my ear.'
She further explained, "But I wanted to explain why the score was what was was because I did dock a point for the lift."
'DWTS' Season 32 releases new episodes every Tuesday at 8 pm ET on Disney+ and ABC.
