'DWTS' Season 31 Semifinals: Fans call the show 'ableist' after Daniel Durant gets eliminated
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31 is just a week away from the finale. The show dropped off two couples last week, and the same pattern followed for the semifinals. After round two's performance, we saw Shangela, Daniel Durant, and Trevor Donovan landing in the Bottom 3.
Trevor and Emma Slater were eliminated immediately, leaving the judges to decide between Shangela and Daniel. However, all the judges cast their vote in favor of Shangela, thereby making Daniel and Britt Stewart get eliminated. Watching none of the panelist votes in favor of deaf and mute actor Daniel, fans lashed out in anger and started claiming that Daniel deserved to be in the finale.
