'DWTS' Season 31 finale: Fans slam Shangela's performance, call Gleb Savchenko's 'Natasha' inspired dress 'disgusting'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Shangela and Gleb Savchenko shocked everyone with their performance in the 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31 freestyle round in the finale episode. The star opened her performance, coming out of the box and saying, "I started from the bottom but now I have arrived. I am Shangela." The silver curtain dropped, showing Shangela dressed up in a pink shimmery dress making her move.
Well, the shocking part of the jive was when Gleb, dressed up as a drag queen, was introduced as 'Nastasha.' The couple stunned the live audience as well as the judges with their quirky moves. In the middle of the performance, Shangela moved toward Len Goodman with one of his hands inside the bra, bringing out the chicken leg. Shangela said, "Mr. Len, did you say you wanna crispy legs." Shangela then threw the chicken leg at Len's desk and moved toward the stage to jive. All the backstage dancers in Shangela and Gleb's performance were dressed as drag queens, therefore, paying tribute to all the ones out there in the world. However, it seems that Shangela's performance and Gleb's dress up as Natasha disappointed fans. They called the couple's performance 'disgusting' and 'gross.'

Moreover, some fans even took to 'DWTS' official Facebook page to slam the couple and their performance. "This was just gross and disturbing. Glad to at least see him go and in 4th. Lord thank you," wrote a fan. Another commented, "I like Shangela… but that wasn’t their best performance… it was all flare and no substance." Furthermore, a fan claimed, "I was here for the drag show but i thought there wasn't enough dance content. I love Natasha though!" A fan slammed, "Absolutely the stupidest "so called dance" on dwts! THAT WAS NOT DANCING!!!!" "That was a new low for dwts. What a disappointment this show has become," wrote a fan.
Even though there were some fans backlashing Shangela and Gleb's performance, there were more fans who were cheering the couple. A fan clapped back to all the slammings, saying, "If this makes you uncomfortable. YOU are the problem…"
