'Duncanville' Episode 3 Preview: 'Undacuva Mutha' sees Annie on the hunt for parking violations

Annie works harder to get a promotion at work while Jack's attempts to be a cool dad backfire horribly

It's time to double-check your click pens, ready your notebook and arm yourself with a can-do attitude as Annie (Amy Poehler) takes the streets. It's the time to fulfill her monthly parking ticket quota. Yes, it's time to take down the town's most notorious parking violators, no matter HOW dangerous or mind-numbingly tedious things may get. Double parkers, beware! she's coming for your license and registration.

Annie has been working in parking enforcement for a while and she believes that it's past the time for a promotion. She's going to be working as hard as she can to try and make sure every parking violator in town gets a ticket, helping her fulfill her monthly quota and hopefully helping her move up in the ranks of the police force.

While last episode's main plot put the spotlight on Kimberly (Riki Lindhome), this episode lets us get to know Duncan's (Amy Poehler) mother a little better. Poehler talked about Annie in the lead up to the premiere for 'Duncanville.'

In the meanwhile, Duncan's dad, Jack (Ty Burrell) continues his quest to be a cool dad, but things don't go quite as planned. Whatever it is he ends up doing, he manages to make his daughters Kimberly and Jing (Joy Osmanski) sick. Definitely not cool, Jack.

The official synopsis for the episode reads, "In hopes of getting a promotion, Annie tries to fill her parking ticket quota for the month; Jack tries to be a cool dad, but just ends up making Kimberly and Jing violently ill.'

There's surprisingly no mention of Duncan himself for a show that bears his name, so it's not entirely clear which plot he's going to tie into. Given that the pilot episode saw him attempting to drive for the first time, however, this episode might just see him get his very first parking ticket, from none other than his mom.

The next episode of 'Duncanville' airs on March 8, on FOX.
