Dog the Bounty Hunter vows to honour wife Beth by hunting down $1.5M bond: 'My tears have turned into blood'
Duane Chapman aka Dog the Bounty Hunter has recently been going through various ups and downs ever since he lost his wife Beth Smith. Beth passed away eight months ago after her battling cancer. While Chapman is still grieving the loss of his wife, he decided to get back to doing what he does best — catching the bad guys.
However, this time around things are a little different as he stated that he will be doing this for his wife. Chapman revealed that the latest bond for Kameron Lawhead is the biggest bond that the family has ever worked for. Lawhead is allegedly a drug trafficker.
"The bail they've set for him right now is $1.5 million," Chapman told Fox News. "He has vowed not to go back to jail," Chapman continued. "You know, he wants to hold court in the street. And so we have the anvil and we're ready." He added that this was the last bond that his wife had written before her death.
He further added that this one is for her. "My tears have turned to blood," he said. "I'm still going to mourn for the rest of my life. But now it's time to separate the men from the boys. So I brought my men with me, my son and my two brothers. And this guy has a very serious problem once we catch him."
When asked if it is difficult to stay determined without his wife by his side, Chapman confessed that he wished she was with him. "She would always threaten me with: 'Unless you catch him, don't talk to me tonight'," Chapman said. "So I kind of miss that, but I believe in the hereafter, and I believe that she's in heaven, and I believe that she will be helping us out."
He further continued, "Of course, I'd rather have her here next to me and by my side, but she kind of is." When asked what Smith would have said had she been here, he replied, "She'd say, 'Big Daddy, don't come home without him'."
