'Dragnificent!': After losing 130lbs Amy gains body dysmorphia as her ex-husband's 'fat ass' comments linger
Amy weighed 251lbs and was not confident about herself. She decided to start working out and her hard work finally paid off when she found out that she lost 130lbs. Now, Amy was all set to throw herself a butterfly party. A butterfly party is one that is organized to make the big reveal of a person who has lost a lot of weight.
While Amy is happy about the change, she is not too proud of her body. Amy confessed she still finds it hard to see herself as someone beautiful because of the loose skin on her body after she lost all the weight.
She further added that she still wears clothes that are too big for her because her confidence has not increased despite shedding all the weight. Amy admitted she was surprised how her life had changed because she was a cheerleader while growing up. However, as she started gaining weight, her confidence was affected.
Amy also revealed how her ex-husband had a big role to play in her weight loss journey. She admitted he would often call her a 'fat ass' and that motivated her to lose all the weight. At the same time, people looking at her differently made her conscious of her body. Amy knew that the only people who could help her gain the confidence that she has is the drag queens.
BeBe Zahara Benet, Alexis Michelle, Thorgy Thor, and Jujubee, decided to come together and help Amy gain the confidence that she said she lost. Alexis reflected on her journey and how she came to terms with her body and started loving it.
Alexis revealed it was important for Amy to understand that she is beautiful and love the body she is in. The drag queens decided to invite Amy to a drag party where she was asked to dress in drag. Amy was hesitant as she was not confident to get on stage to dance.
Fortunately, with the help of the drag queens, she pushed herself to show her curves. As the drag party ended, Amy admitted this was the first time she had smiled so much. Luckily, this also helped Amy gain the confidence she needed for her butterfly party. Thanks to the queens, Amy felt like a queen herself.
