In its final week, we see Do In-beom (Yang Se-jong) return to Doldam Hospital to warn Kim Sabu (Han Suk-Kyu) about what his father and the Chairman of the hospital Dr. Do Yoon Wan (Choi Jin-ho) has planned. After the table death of an important donor's son in the previous episode, the finale week starts with Dr. Do setting up a committee to investigate the surgery that was led by Dr. Park Min-gyu (Kim Joo-hun) and assisted by Dr. Seo Woo-jin (Ahn Hyo-seop). In-beom explains to Kim Sabu that he is one of the doctors who is on the committee and according to him, Dr. Do is targeting Doldam to shut it down completely this time around. The only way he sees Doldam being saved is if Doldam gives up on Dr. Park who performed the surgery despite being warned that the patient had WPW syndrome.

Dr. Woo-jin overhears the conversation between Kim Sabu and In-beom and for some reason he doesn't trust In-beom. He doesn't let the senior doctor look at the notes that Kim Sabu gave to Woo-jin to diagnose the cause of Kim Sabu's illness. He hides it before he leaves to treat an emergency patient and even during treatment, because In-beom is a fellow General Surgeon, the two end up working on the same patient and the tension is palpable between the two. In-beom has always been rude to fellow doctors, but Woo-jin's reason is initially unclear.

Then, there is also the connection between Dr. In-beom and Dr. Ah-reum (So Ju-yeon), which no one is aware of before he arrives at the hospital. Now, one of the nurses overhears her talking to Dr. In-beom and misunderstands the casual tone to mean that the two could be dating. This makes the nurses uncomfortable because Ah-reum's relationship with nurse Eun-tak (Kim Min-jae) is clearly more than professional friendship.

When the committee investigates the table death, Dr. Woo-jin clearly states that Dr. Park only did the surgery because he wanted to prove himself and had a score to settle by completing the surgery. He airs out all of Dr. Park's previous wrongdoing to the committee. Dr. Yang, who has always assisted Dr. Park becomes emotional about his mentor being accused so blatantly and loses his temper. Dr. In-beom doesn't mention anything when he is at the committee. Outside, however, he tells Dr. Woo-jin that every time he gives in to his emotion and makes a comment, a statement or even an observation, it will only go against him. His emotional outbursts would be construed as one-sided and useless in the grand scheme of things.

Dr. Park lets the committee do a second-level investigation into the hospital itself as a way to set it up for medical malpractice. However, the surgery was not a case of medical malpractice because the patient was made aware of his condition and its effect on the surgery before he was operated on. Dr. Cha Eun-jae (Lee Sung-kyung) learned about this from the patient's guardian who was at the hospital. This clears not only the hospital but also the operating team as well. The thing that Kim Sabu hates the most is to use a patient to play politics. Now, he implores Dr. Park to stop the investigation if he had even an inkling of pride as a doctor.

The confrontation ends with Kim Sabu telling Dr. Park that it is now time to clean up the mess that he had created in the first place. Doldam Hospital will now continue to operate the way it was meant to in the first place -- to only work for the patients, to save as many as they can and to do so in the right way. The doctors learn to take responsibility for their actions and the hospital returns to another Friday where patients get wheeled in without pause.
