'Dr Pimple Popper' Season Squeezings: Tywana's lipoma on head is 8 years old, can Dr Lee work a Christmas miracle?
Reality star and doctor Sandra Lee was back just in time for Christmas to spread some cheer this holiday season. The hit TLC series premiered on December 21 with a fair share of the season squeezings. The show was filmed before the pandemic so if you see Dr Lee hugging her patients, don’t be alarmed. The doctor further confirmed it as she posted on Twitter, “A little known fact: this holiday episode was filmed right BEFORE the pandemic!”

Dr Lee and her nurses were in holiday spirit and they surprised her in elf costumes when she came to work. Her first patient in the holiday special season was Tywana, who has been carrying a big bump on her head for six to eight years. Once a bubbly woman, Tywana who used to love going outside and hanging out with people, entirely lost her confidence and her social life when a bump appeared on her forehead. Her attempts to hide the forehead bump with hair didn’t work out very well and she decided to pay Dr Lee a visit and let her work her magic. Dr Lee posted a picture of Tywana before the surgery on Twitter with caption, “Did your get the diagnosis correct?!”

Tywana was backed by a beautiful and big family and they all came down to the doctor’s chamber to support her through the process. Classic Dr Lee immediately put Tywana at ease by cracking jokes like “I see you brought me a Christmas gift.” Turned out it was lipoma and since it was positioned right on the head, it was a little tricky for Dr Lee to be able to operate on it without damaging anything important. She warned that lipomas like that usually cause a lot of bleeding before the surgery.
As Dr Lee feared, Tywana’s lipoma was a stubborn one. After taking a big chunk of it out, there were still little bits of it left on her head where Dr Lee made an insertion. She needed to get rid of all of it so that it didn’t make an appearance again. Once the surgery was over, Tywana broke into tears as she looked at herself in the mirror. Her family, who were patiently waiting for her outside, hugged her and hugged the doctor for making the Christmas miracle happen. Posting an after-surgery picture of Tywana, Dr Lee wrote, “Right after! Tywanna! What a wonderful person and great family!”

“I can’t wait to take family pictures,” said a teary eyed Tywana.
