UPLAND, CALIFORNIA: Dermatologist Dr Sandra Lee, MD, appears on 'Dr Pimple Popper' every week to meet with people suffering from unusual, often self-defeating skin disorders. The boils they carry are enormous. The cysts are growing to the size of a balloon. The individuals beneath the extraordinary bumps and growths, though, are what make the show worth watching. If you must, protect your eyes through the pus-filled breakouts.

'Dr Pimple Popper' has been amusing people with her squeezes and pops for years, but she was devastated this week when a lovely eight-year-old girl with a skin problem went into her clinic. Dr Lee met eight-year-old Wynter, who wants her scaly mermaid-like skin fixed, in the July 26 episode of the TLC show.

Who is Wynter on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

Wynter was just 6 months old when a rash appeared on her inner thigh. It started off the size of a quarter. Then it spread, causing changes to her legs that have become worse over time. It later primarily affected her arms. Her skin issue made her itchy and she said the problem worsens with polyester or wool. However, she added that she feels better after applying lotion or taking a shower since it clears things out. Wynter developed a preference for hot showers as a result of the dryness.

Wynter has seen a variety of physicians. They all gave her various diagnosis ranging from psoriasis to eczema to scabies. She's been on a variety of topical drugs, ranging from Hydrocortisone lotions to oral meds such as steroids and Omnicef. She was given Prednisolone, Cortisol, and Singulair since physicians suspected she had an allergy. Her mother told Dr Lee that they kept visiting physicians just to obtain a fresh diagnosis and medicine but it didn't benefit Wynter at all.

What happened to Wynter on 'Dr Pimple Popper'?

Dr Lee examined Wynter's health more closely. Wynter said that had not used anything for the past year. "Wynter's skin condition presently is in pretty good shape," she informs the viewers, "but this is the nature of this type of skin condition. And they know that it comes back. Wynter could wake up tomorrow and be covered in this really uncomfortable, very itchy, very painful rash."

Dr Lee realizes that the mother-daughter duo has given up and lost hope. She needed to change that. The dermatologist pointed out that the key to the solution is consistency, persistence, and comprehension, which would be necessary to bring about any change in the condition as well as in their loss of hope. Therefore, first and foremost, she needed to diagnose the problem.

Where in Wynter from 'Dr Pimple Popper' now?

Wynter's diagnosis remained a mystery, but Dr Lee managed to chalk up a treatment plan for her. The TLC doctor revealed she has had similar condition as Wynter. She has had a few skin problems herself as a child. In fact, she previously revealed that she still has topic dermatitis, a type of eczema that one is born with. Dr Lee experienced it as a child, and her skin became very dry and prone to rashes. It was basically a huge rash. Fortunately, her father was a dermatologist in training at the time. This time, Dr Lee came to Wynter's rescue. Wynter, after beginning treatment, looked a lot better with her skin condition under control.

TLC airs new episodes of 'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 9 on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET.
