Brooke Atkins, 33, of the Gold Coast, saw that her son Kingsley had a big "port-wine" mark covering half of his face.

"I don't really trust doctors no more," he said to Debbie, a close friend. "I've just lost hope, you know?" Debbie, on the other hand, is adamant that Nhan seek therapy, especially because his birthmark has already "destroyed everything that he could have in life."

"I strongly feel that Nhan got cheated," she stated. "He has a big heart, and he doesn't deserve any of that."

Nhan, on the other hand, heroically withstood the discomfort. While the process appears simple, Dr Lee insisted that it is complicated owing to a variety of factors, such as the patient's complexion and age.
