'Dr Pimple Popper': Jacyln meets Dr Lee to get rid of her 15-year-old lipoma that looks like a 'soft boiled egg'
Dr Sandra Lee is known to turn frowns into smiles as she helps her patients deal with their problems. In the latest episode (September 24), Dr Lee met a patient named Jacyln who has been struggling with a lipoma on the back of her head for 15 years. Speaking to Dr Lee, Jacyln explained that her lipoma, that she first confused for a pimple, felt like a "soft boiled egg".
Even though Dr Lee did not know what a soft boiled egg felt like, she understood the gist of what Jacyln was trying to say. Dr Lee explained it is quite common to confuse a pimple and lipoma while adding the big difference is that lipomas are fatty deposits. Jacyln revealed she has had the lipoma for a long time and it has affected her confidence.
She recalled the times her hairdresser made fun of her lipoma and even gave it a unique name. Jacyln admitted she did not like hearing such comments and it reached a point where she stopped going to the hairdresser. Fearing what people might think or say, Jacyln tried to hide her bump as much as she can. However, with the bump sticking out, sometimes it is hard for her to make sure it stays hidden. Jacyln is currently spending her quarantine with her boyfriend who has been supportive throughout her journey. Appearing along with her on the show, David helped Dr Lee understand how the bump felt.
He explained that it could be moved to a certain extent and it felt like there was liquid or a ball type content inside it. Dr Lee felt pleased to hear his remarks. Opening up more about their situation, David explained he is a funny guy but he had to be conscious about what he told her about the bump. Since he knew Jacyln was conscious about it, he paid close attention to what he says. David confessed there was a time when Jacyln felt hurt by his words. However, the pair managed to sort out that minor snag on the way. Seeing how the bump bothers Jacyln, Dr Lee knew it was important for her to help.
She assured Jacyln her bump would be taken care of once the lockdown was lifted. Until then, she asked her to be confident about herself.
