Pregnancies and the Kardashians have always been a touchy subject, especially when it comes to Kim Kardashian. While Kim had North and Saint on her own, she chose to have Chicago and Psalm via surrogacy due to severe complications with her first two pregnancies.

Seeing that with both pregnancies she suffered from preeclampsia — a complication that leads to high blood pressure along with liver and kidney damage, her pregnancies were rather life-threatening. She also had placenta accreta, which often results in severe blood loss during birth.

'Keeping up with the Kardashians' Season 20: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the final season of the reality show

'KUWTK’ to end after 14 years and 20 seasons, Kim Kardashian bids adieu: ‘I wouldn’t be where I am today’

Back in 2017, when Kim was looking to grow her own family, Khloe was the one who offered to be her surrogate. However, an ultrasound with Dr Andy Huant revealed that she wasn't as fertile as she thought she was. Dr Huang revealed that she had fewer follicles (sacs that hold eggs) than average, significantly diminishing the chances of her getting pregnant.

However, all was not lost just yet, seeing that the star went off birth control and starting faring seemingly better. Her next visit to Dr Huang bore much better news about her fertility and seeing that she gave birth to her daughter, True, a year later, she was in the clear, thanks to the advice and guidance of Dr Andy Huang. So, who exactly is he? Here's what we know about him.

Who is Dr Huang?

Dr Andy Huang specializes in Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He studied at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, where he acquired his MA, MD and Masters in Business Administration, Health Management.

Over the course of his career, he has written multiple journals and articles on stem cell development, endometriosis and infertility and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).

He is a part of Reproductive Partners, a medical group that specializes in dealing with infertility. He is also part of the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, American Society of Reproductive Medicine and Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. Apart from this, he is also a volunteer fertility consultant for the Los Angeles Zoo and is a part of the medical advisory board.

Seeing as to just how accomplished he is, it comes as no surprise that he is the go-to doctor for the Kardashian women. While Khloe did make false claims about her infertility while married to Lamar Odom, the truth came to light when she was willing to be the surrogate for Kim when her sister wanted her third child. While fans were upset that a serious issue such as infertility was used as a storyline, it comes as a shock to Khloe and her fans that she did, in fact, have infertility problems.

Thankfully Dr Huang was able to help her through it. If Khloe is planning baby number 2, we suspect Dr Huang will be back to ensure that she and her possible future child are both healthy and fine through the process.
