Dove parent company Unilever faces the heat as backlash against Zyahna Bryant escalates
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zyahna Bryant, a BLM activist was roped in by Dove for its product promotion, but the idea has backfired.
The controversial figure was involved in an incident where she accused a White student of threatening protesters. However, she later admitted that she may have ‘misheard’ the comments.
Many people slamming Dove for signing Bryant are fancying the collaboration to Bud Light’s deal with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Unilever launched a ‘fat liberation’ campaign
Carole Thorpe of Charlottesville, Virginia, posted a picture of three bars of Dove soap thrown into trash on Thursday, September 14.
The move was aimed at protesting after parent company Unilever decided to launch a ‘fat liberation’ campaign with Zyahna Bryant, reports Daily Mail.
Thorpe reacted on finding out about the brand’s tie-up with Black Lives Matter (BLM). “After hearing that Dove Beauty chose Zyahna Bryant who ruined Morgan Bettinger's life for their 'fat acceptance ambassador,' THIS lifelong large lady & now former Dove customer tossed out the last three bars of Dove product she will EVER buy. I have written to Unilever too,” Thorpe said.
X owner (formerly Twitter) Elon Musk also jumped into the controversy and called the collaboration ‘messed up.’

The brands owned by Unilever
The brands owned by Unilever include Ben & Jerry's, Comfort, Domestos, Dove, Hellmann's Knorr, Lifebuoy, Magnum, OMO, Rexona, Seventh Generation, Sunsilk, Axe, Bango, Cif, Equilibra, Lux, Love Beauty & Planet, and Liquid I.V.
Several people reacted to Bryant joining hands with Dove. “Guess I've bought my last bar of Dove soap,” wrote one. “I've stopped buying their products. Never again!” said another.
"This is what actual privilege in America looks like. BLM activist completely ruined the life of an innocent white girl with a false accusation of racism and gets a brand deal with Dove while Morgan Bettinger was kicked out of school and now needs medication in order to sleep," commented one user.

One user wrote, "It's all payback I guess. So sorry for the young woman. Bryant should be facing charges."
"I have bought their soap faithfully for 30 years. And I’m done. BLM is clearly a fraudulent organization. Also we should not be promoting morbid obesity. It is NOT healthy," commented a user.
Another one said, "Bad call @Dove I will NEVER use your products again. Damn shame too. Cause I’ve used them my whole life. 😡"
A user reminded, "Meanwhile, Bryant later changed her mind on this claim, telling investigators that she actually wasn't sure she heard Bettinger say this at all."
