'Double Shot At Love': Vinny and Pauly talk to Maria and Nikki, but is it enough to shed the awkwardness?
Maria Elizondo and Nikki Hall are back in the house and things are not getting better for the girls. The pair was there in the first season of the show and some awkward tension has been building up in the house ever since they returned. Maria shared a close bond with Vinny Guadagnino while Nikki and Pauly had a relationship that everyone had expected to get official.
However, Season 1 did not give them the happy ending they had hoped for. Maria and Vinny started heading their separate ways a couple of episodes later when she felt he was inclining more towards other girls. Maria decided it would be best to maintain her distance but that did not stop her feelings from getting hurt. Meanwhile, Nikki and Pauly had a stronger bond. She was one of the top two contestants who came to the finale. Unfortunately, she was not selected and was asked to go back. Their relationship hit a downfall when she opened up about Pauly blocking her on social media platforms.
The situation between these pairs started getting awkward as Maria and Nikki were not happy to see the guys. In the latest episode (June 18), Vinny and Pauly thought it would be good if they spoke to each other's girls. Vinny thought he could talk to Nikki, while Pauly thought he could talk to Maria. The two made a pact and thought it would be the best decision to ease the situation. "Don't be bitter, be better," this is what the guys had planned in their minds to say to the girls. Vinny and Pauly decided to take the girls aside at the same time. Vinny spoke to Nikki about how it would be good to talk to Paul and reduce the awkwardness that was in the house.
Nikki made it clear that she was hurt with what had happened in the past and would have appreciated Pauly coming and talking to her rather than sending his friend over. At the same time, she made it clear that for all the hurt Pauly had caused her, she thought she would receive an apology, but she didn't. Vinny felt that the situation could not be saved and that Pauly might be in trouble. Meanwhile, things with Maria went a little differently. She said she hoped that the awkwardness would not come between them and hinted that she was ready to mend the relationship with Vinny. While Pauly was happy to hear this, Vinny seemed surprised.
Even though the girls got to hear what the boys were thinking, will this be enough to make their relationship better?
