'Don't overestimate your importance': Internet slams Joy Behar after she challenges Donald Trump to take revenge on 'The View' hosts
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: During Friday, November 10 episode 'The View', Joy Behar dared former President Donald Trump to retaliate against the hosts of the ABC show if he is re-elected to the White House.
However, the Internet wasn't happy with her words, as several flocked to slam her, calling her "delusional" and "irrelevant."
'The View' co-hosts discuss Donald Trump's assertion of seeking revenge against his rivals
During the Hot Topics segment, 'The View' co-hosts Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin embarked on a discussion about Donald Trump's statement about using the Justice Department to seek revenge against his enemies should he become the president.
Talking about his recent interview with Univision, Behar stated that Trump "laid out his agenda if he’s elected president again. And it seems like the first item on his list – after he gets out of prison – is revenge," as per Fox News.
A video was also played where Trump told the interviewer that when he is back in power, the purported use of the Department of Justice against him "could certainly happen in reverse."
Following the clip, the hosts of the show contemplated their fate with Navarro saying, "I don’t know, but if he’s weaponizing government against his opponents, boy, are we in trouble."
Then, Behar and Hostin remarked that Trump's claim reminded them of "Nixon’s enemy list," and "J Edgar Hoover’s list” respectively.
While referring to the supporters of the former POTUS, Behar further stated, "Don’t his supporters see that he turns on people that are in his corner? If you dare to go against him even this much, he goes bananas on you."
While Hostin termed Trump’s desire to be in power as a sign of a "dictatorship," co-host Griffin claimed, "Donald Trump is running for president for two reasons: to stay out of jail, and to get revenge on his enemies. And when he speaks we should listen and frankly, it’s scary."
Griffin also hypothesized that Trump would probably want to take revenge on former Vice President Mike Pence and former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.
When Hostin mentioned the possibility of Trump going after "journalists," Behar added, "Us. What about us?"
Behar then boldly looked at the camera and stated, "Try it! Go ahead! Try it! We have this show every day! Okay, Donald?"
Internet slams Joy Behar for challenging Donald Trump
Soon after 'The View' episode of Joy Behar throwing a challenge at Donald Trump surfaced on the Internet, netizens started to slam the daytime talk show host.
One said, "She better watch out . He has a pretty good record of keep his word whether or not anyone likes him," and a person added, "She did say she would leave the country. Does GITMO count?"
"You are irrelevant," stated another, while someone else remarked, "Pretty certain he doesn't give you or your cohorts a passing thought, lolol. Delusional much?"
"Oh dear God… thought the show would get 86’ed by then. Such a jealous hateful group," mentioned a person.
Another netizen mentioned, "That would be a complete waste of time and money! Somehow she totally believes they are that important or powerful……..NOT!"
"Grandstanding on her part. Without Trump, her career would have been a shadow of what it became," chimed in one more, as a person warned, "Hey Joy. Don’t over estimate your importance."
"Bummer!! I thought they were going to stay 'THEY WOULD LEAVE THE COUNTRY', if TRUMP IS RE-ELECTED," quipped a critic, while one simply stated, "And why would he waste his time on you."
