'Don't' Episode 1 Preview: Adam Scott helps a family master fun challenges and build their bank balance
You can always rely on Ryan Reynolds to bring you some much-needed cheer, during these gloomy days of quarantine. ABC has come up with a game show, 'Don't', which is guaranteed to bring a few chuckles and smiles out of you. In the show, contestants team up with their families to win up to 100,000. It's not as straightforward as it sounds, of course. They have to take on simple and ridiculous tasks, with one simple rule: 'Don't'. And, that's where the problem lies.
The show will feature “hilarious, unexpected moments that break from the traditional game show format," as the trailer says. Four-member teams will take on crazy and absurd challenges, like “Don’t blink,” “Don’t Look Back” and “Don’t Play Ball in the House.” The successful missions will earn them money into the team bank accounts, while failed challenges will force players to undergo some silly punishments. Contestants can also test their fearlessness by selecting risky options like the “Don’t Push” button or a “Don’t You Dare, You” challenge. In the end, teams will keep the money remaining in their bank. It looks like fans are in for a wild ride.
The first episode is titled 'Don't Be A Wise Guy'. The synopsis reads, "Lisa, David, Jaime and Giuseppe Riley from Brooklyn, New York, DO their best to master challenges “Don’t Get Tired,” “Don’t Blink,” “Don’t Drink,” “Don’t Use Fowl Language” and “Don’t Get Clocked” in hopes of winning $100,000."
The show will be hosted by Adam Scott from 'Parks and Recreation' and 'Big Little Lies', while Reynolds will be the narrator. Reynolds has proved his versatility and acted in different genres, including action movies like '6 Underground', romantic dramas like 'The Proposal' and the superhero flicks like 'Deadpool'. 'Deadpool' and its sequel catapulted Reynolds to astronomical heights of fame. Since then, many films have banked on Reynolds's comedic talent and timing.
Alongside Reynolds, additional executive producers include David Goldberg, Caroline Baumgard, David Hurwitz, Conrad Green and George Dewey. So tune in for your dose of fun on ABC, June 11 at 9pm and watch 'Don't'.
Have fun.
