Donald Trump's decreased net worth after leaving Presidential office leaves Internet impressed

TAMPA, FLORIDA: Conservative political host Benny Johnson took to X, formerly known as Twitter to discuss the trend of every modern president experiencing an increase in their net worth.

However, the one president who did not make that list of increased net worth was Donald Trump, whose assets went from $3 billion to $2.3 billion, as per Johnson. 

Johnson clarified that Trump is also the only one being "criminally charged for supposedly overstating his net worth," and posed the question of whether the Department of Justice will "investigate" others.

In response to Johnson's statistics, the internet rushed to support former POTUS Trump.

Benny Johnson shares net worths in comparison to Donald Trump

On X, Benny Johnson shared a list of presidents in modern history and their net worths, which have seen a rise after they left office. All apart from former President Donald Trump, who is currently undergoing a civil fraud trial in New York.

Johnson wrote, “Every single president in modern history has increased their net worth after leaving office except for one— Donald Trump.”

He then listed the net worths, “Obama: $1.3m vs. $70m, George Bush: $20m vs. $40m, Clinton: $1.3m vs. $241.5m, George W. Bush: $4m vs. $23m, Carter: $2.3m vs. $10m, Nixon: $2m vs. $10m, Reagan: $10.6m vs. $15.4m, Trump: $3b vs. $2.3b.”

In addition to sharing the aforementioned list, Johnson also added, “Trump is also the only one being criminally charged for supposedly overstating his net worth, yet other politicians use their office to increase theirs.”

Johnson then posed the question, “Will the DOJ investigate the others?”

As soon as Benny Johnson shared the list of net worths and the increase when they left the office, apart from Donald Trump, the internet was quick to respond.

This post on X received a lot of traction on the social media platform with over 3000 responses, and over 3 million views.
